The Toddler Socialization Group: Our toddler socialization program, led by two speech language pathologists, focuses on increasing opportunities for social interactions while developing speech and language skills for young children in a safe and nurturing environment. The children participate in many activities including playtime, arts and crafts, music, gross motor play and snack time, to name a few. A parent or guardian participates in the group as well. The parent/child dynamic provides parents with many opportunities to learn how to provide social experiences for their child, increase their child's speech and language development at home, and address atypical behaviors that may occur in social situations. It also enables the parent/guardian connect with other parents in the group to get support and advice from them as well as the staff. Our Toddler Socialization Group prepares these very young children for classroom settings and expectations. In addition, parents feel well-informed, supported, and on the right path for their child’s future. The Toddler Socialization Program meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 – 2:15pm.
